Frequently Asked Questions
How does the live calculation work?
Splitr tracks the last two fields you typed or tapped (your "anchors"). From those two values it derives the remaining fields instantly — no submit button, no delay. Change one anchor and only the derived fields update; your other typed value stays put.
What do the distance shortcut chips do?
The chips (800m, 1.5K, 3K, 5K, 10K, Half Marathon, Marathon) fill the distance field with the correct value for that race and trigger a recalculation. They’re the fastest way to switch between common distances.
How do I save a preset?
Tap the save icon (bookmark) in the top corner of the calculator screen. Give the preset a name and tap Save. To restore it later, open the Presets list and tap the preset row. Long-press to rename or delete.
Are presets backed up?
Yes. Presets sync automatically over iCloud as long as you’re signed into an Apple ID on your device. They’ll appear on any of your iPhones or iPads running Splitr.
What does Pro include?
The free version of Splitr is fully functional. The optional Pro upgrade unlocks unlimited saved presets (the free tier includes a limited number) and will unlock additional features as they ship in future updates.
Why does typing "830" give me 8:30?
Splitr’s smart parser interprets bare numbers as pace values in MM:SS format, since that’s almost always what runners mean when they type "830." Formatted times (8:30, 8:30.5, 1:30:00) are parsed as-is. If you want a different interpretation, type the colon separator explicitly.
Does Splitr work offline?
Yes. The calculator works entirely on your device — no internet connection required. iCloud sync will resume automatically once you’re back online.
Which platforms does Splitr support?
Splitr is available for iPhone and Android. An iPad-optimized layout is included on iOS.
